  • Details
This hand painted Pewabic tile highlights Detroit’s Historic Eastern Market and is the 2nd installation in their “Postcards From Detroit” series. The reclaimed wood frame is the perfect accent to this iconic tile and it is approximately 9” x 7”.

All of our products are handmade from wood that has already served a lifetime of use and each piece comes with an address indicating where the materials were sourced from.

The wood used to make this frame was properly deconstructed from a former home located at 1321 Labrosse in Detroit’s Historic Corktown neighborhood. Originally built ca 1820- it was once home to Thomas Mooney who had not only started a carriage business on the property but also, turned the home into an Irish boarding house.

For more information about the history of the material please visit http://www.endgraindetroit.us/history/
